wedding photography posing guide for the bride

As part of the bridal make up stage, I always like to get really close and focus on a detail. I use the Canon EF 100mm Macro F2.8 for an outstanding shallow depth of field and I can get an interesting look just focusing on a small details, like the eyes, eyelashes, lips, vail. It depends also on the bride, how comfortable is she in front of the camera. Also it is a matter of judgement from you as a photographer if that will look good.

You will never be able to achieve this without the proper lens, so if you are serious about wedding photography, you need to take the effort an invest in a proper Macro. The use of it will come in place now, as you can continue your shoot by getting details on jewellery, flowers, details on the dress, rings and whatever plays a role in the day. I can assure you the effort of going to distance for using the macro will be repaid indirectly in the increase of your quality services. Also brides put a lot of emphasis on small details and you will make them happy by recording their effort and excitement in organising their wedding

When I show the image on the LCD screen to the bride after I take this picture I Can see an immediate happy reaction and she will relax as this is an assurance she is looking good for the day. The depth of field and the blurry parts of the image will hide skin imperfections and that is one of the main stress factors for any bride.
