Indian marriage poses

critique for Daniel Chris

Hi Christian,
This is Daniel Chris from India. Love your tutorial videos on youtube, there great.
Here are the 3 pictures for critique if you wouldn’t mind.

Brief of me
I started doing pro wedding photography in Jan. I own a Mirrorless Camera, Panasonic DMC-G5 with a 45mm prime F 1.8 (90mm on FF) and normal 14-42mm F 3.5-5.6 (28 – 84mm) and hire a Canon 70D with 50mm, 60D with 70-200mm F 3.5 -5.6 when i get a wedding.

These pictures are from the pre-marriage and post marriage ceremonies which happen normally in Indian traditional Marriages and have to say low lighting is the normal in work.
I learnt a lot from youtube and trying stuff myself.
I would love be a member of your academy-of-photography if I am worthy but am not good at English to write articles if there any chance i get through seeing my work i wanted to try it.

Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Best Regards
Daniel Chris

Daniel

thank you for your submission. I love your images and let have a look in more detail. Since all the images are very close to each other, I can say one thing for all of them. I am actually happy you have sent a series of 3 individual images in a theme as that tells me there is a process behind your approach.

Content 8 out of 10

as a wedding photographer I am used to see the never ending white dress. In this case, assuming we are really talking about an indian tradition, I am happy to say I can appreciate a bit of difference. also not only the poses are non something I am used to, but also the hand painting is a subject in itself. Probably something that you see every day in India, but here not. So that is why I believe you deserve an 8 as for a wedding picture for me it is very interesting

Composition 8 out of 10

I love the crops and your images stand out in approach. all poses have a meaning, and a soft touch. Well done! There is enough balance and enough interest in different parts of the picture. I cannot measure clearly if there is a delimitation rule, but the richness in detail compensate.

Image quality 7 out of 10

I loe the rich tones, and the old effect. I believe it works really well with the context. The first image is too dark and too rich, but the next 2 are very nice

Final TRS mark 7.6 out of 10

Daniel

well done, not a lot of people can get this mark in my opinion. Love your work. Can you show us something different than an indian marriage next time? I want to see some more!
