Thank you for your very useful tips. Feathering the light really produced beautiful results. One suggestion if I may, would a wig ‘worn’ on the dummy head give a more complete photographic result such as hair detail and shadows cast on the face by hair. Would a reflector be of any use here?

yes…i have done the dummy with the wig in other examples
you can use a reflector …yes. Especially when you would not have a complete set of lights. there is no right or wrong…
