Silky stream coming towards the viewer. Nothing really special here but an interesting photo nonetheless.

Composition: TRS mark 6/10

This is a common point of view, however the long exposure makes the shot.

Image quality: TRS mark 7/10

The image is sharp and the exposure well controlled. You may tell us more on the technique used, ND filters employed, remote shutter release, etc.

Final TRS mark:  6.5 out of 10

This ‘man on a bench’ photo employs many visually appealing features such as the bench and the bag ‘held’ between his feet, in particular. I find it interesting.

Composition: TRS mark 7/10

The point of view is very attractive. Well done. I like how you placed the subject slightly towards one side. The background may cause some distraction but at the same time helps ‘frame’ the picture.

Image quality: TRS mark 6/10

Watch out for the blown out highlights in the background. The black and white treatment works well however your tonal range may be widened to achieve a more detailed image.

Average portrait of a young lady. There is no wow factor here.

Composition: TRS mark 5/10

This image comes across as a crop. The subject’s hair glows as it is backlit, which is nice, but the face is in the shadow. Fill light will definitely help in such situations.

Image quality: TRS mark 5/10

This portrait lacks quality. The lighting may be greatly improved, having the subject’s face lit up, perhaps using a reflector.

Final TRS mark:  5 out of 10

Rick you seem to have good control on your camera and equipment. Please take my comments as a means to progression. You clearly show that you’re on the right track.

Your feedback is very important to me. Please feel free to comment.

Thank you,

Robert
