Photo critique for Lilia

Hello,

I was given a Nikon D3000 with kit lens 3 months ago as a birthday present and ever since I have been bitten by the photography bug.
While browsing the internet looking for tutorials and how to’s I came upon yours and really what you had to say about photography and how to get started, I will be a regular visitor.
Please, please review/critique the ones I have attached – I would really appreciate your opinion.
Thank you for your time and
Best regards,
Lilia

thank you for your susmission. I salute the fact you are starting to get some photos and you are looking after opinions. I am not able to say that your pictures are more than family pics on holiday and it just happened to be taken with a DLSR. They are underexposed, random, and there is no photographic intention. I have noticed that you named these photos, and that tells me they mean something to you, and this is probably where the value is: personal. in terms of photographic skills, I cannot recognise any intent to follow composition, no light consideration, no white balance adjustment and no process.
Did you use automatic mode?
my suggestion is to play a bit more, watch our tutorials from 1-10 , have another go and re0submit other images. I have been in your position and it took a while to figure out a way to take photos that are above the tourist or family picnic style and quality.

I hope my comments are not preventing you from taking the effort to improve as we have all been there at one time. Just step back a little, have a look, compare with other people submissions and answer this question:
how are these photos different than anyone else’s?
