The Hedge

Wedding posing tips

As a wedding photographer I always love the hedge as a background. The green is one of my favourite backgrounds, especially turned greener in post production be a small vibrancy increase. This can be done only in Adobe Lighroom. I have tried Photoshop, but it is not the same result. Before I was a wedding photographer, I always was looking to established wedding photographers work and tried to figure out why their green is greener and I cannot do the same. The answer came in time with experience and discovery of Light room.

For this pose, you can ask the groom the lean against the hedge, make sure there is no dust to ruin the suit, and get the bride to hug him. Ask them to look at each other, look at you, hug and kiss and you need to keep shooting, A telephoto lens is recommended to get the nice green textured in the depth of field effect.

It is not a guarantee that you will find a green hedge in all the cases and you need to adapt to your environment. You can go for a nice textured textured wall for example

Reflection

I would keep this idea in the same category with the hedge, as the posing is identical, just the texture is different. Every time I see a window, large glazed surface with a nice background, I get the couple next to it to get the nice reflection.

There is an infinite possibilities of getting this pose, as the basic position is the same. Bride and groom hugging , facing each other, looking at one another and looking at you. A standard instruction I always give to my couples.

Th emore weddings you do , the easier it gets, and all the poses will come naturally without thinking much. This is one among many recipes to get fantastic shots
