Wet dogs photo assessment

by Anirban

thank you for your submission. I can see some intention of photography however your wet dogs pics are not something that I would consider good photography…at least not the way you present them. I will do an exception this time and actually publish a submission as I see the third image with some quality to it. If you would have sent only the dogs, I would have ignored it.

I hope I am not too harsh but spending so much time with photography and I get a blurry picture of a dog sniffing the shorts or skirt, or whatever is not something I personally enjoy. But this is only me….

As promised I will do my assessment though

Landscape

this is by far the best image of the 3  and it does have value. Composition is very good, i follows the rule of thirds and it does have an enjoyable feeling of peace to it. The format of the image suggests a large format print to be hanged on a wall.

I would increase the vibrance, the exposure and decrease the contrast a bit. The dark left corner is heavy and disturbs and visual balance. Other than that it is a reasonable good image.

Random pic of a swimming dog – with another one watching

no composition, no image quality, no photographic value. This is just personal value as I am sure you love your dog.cannot spend more ¬†time on this….

I hope my judgement is not too harsh, but I would encourage you to think about something someone else would like to hang on a wall, take the shot and send it.

please review other people submission and ask yourself if your image are on the same level.
